eBay – When is the Best Time to Start/End an Auction?

All things taken into consideration, eBay seems to always be the busiest on Sunday nights, which makes sense because most are finished with their weekend chores and errands and finally have time to spend on eBay. Also believe it or not, Monday morning seems to be a good time because it seems there are a lot of the eBay market that either get on eBay to check the auctions when they get to work, or get on eBay when they finally get everyone off to school and work. Just remember there are a lot of others that know these facts, so the competition will be ending auctions at the same time, and something else to remember is that holidays are generally a bad time to end auctions.

In considering the audience for your particular item, some items sell very well during the daytime since the bidders for those items are doing their eBay searching from work or when the kids are away from home for school and other extracurricular activities. Other items tend have a better selling record with the evening auction ending times, so the bottom line is you need to experiment for what is best for you and the items you are listing, and don’t forget that the eBay market buying habits will change, so the diligent seller will be alert for any such shifts in activity.
