Do Over? Winklevoss Twins Can’t Undo Facebook Settlement

For those of us who haven’t viewed the hit movie “The Social Network,” you may want to check the movie out to get the full understanding of what the court decision means. Simply put, the original negotiated settlement can’t be renegotiated or basically the Winklevoss (we promise we didn’t make the name up) twins don’t get a “Do Over.”

The Winklevoss twins (Cameron and Tyler), who alleged that Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg stole their idea for a social-networking service, don’t have the right to negotiate a better settlement ($65 million in cash and stock), the Federal appeals court decision said, as discussed by Stacey Delo with John Letzing.

Surprise! Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on SNL!

In case you didn’t catch it Saturday night, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed up for a  “surprise” appearance on Saturday Night Live, along with Jesse Eisenberg, the actor who played him in the Oscar nominated movie The Social Network.

The “surprise” for viewers was a triple treat of Zuckerberg as the Oscar nominee and guest host (Jesse Eisenberg) appeared on stage, was quickly joined by Andy Samberg, SNL’s Zuckerberg impersonator. Then, out strolled the real Mark Zuckerberg. Admitting having seen the movie, When asked his impression of The Social Network, “Zuck” called it “interesting.”

Mark Zuckerberg appeared three times on the show including a brief backstage exchange with Lorne Michaels Executive Producer for SNL, the on-stage appearance with Eisenberg and Samberg as you’ll see in the video below, and the final SNL show goodbye, where “Zuck” appeared to give Eisenberg an apparent sincerely genuine hug to show all was forgiven.
